Born in Juarez, Mexico, Hugo Carbajal migrated to the United States  at the age of 10.  Ten years later he received a BA in Acting and Directing from University of Colorado in Denver and immediately went on to earn his MFA in Physical Theater at Naropa University through the London International School of Performing Arts.


Upon his return to Denver, Hugo joined Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre program and moved to Oakland, Ca where he performed for children for eight years. He soon decided to further his acting career by participating in a career development program at Theatre Bay Area where he earned the Titan Actor Award.  Since then, Hugo has performed in many plays throughout the Bay Area, thus earning him membership with Actor's Equity Association.  He is a collective member of the Tony award winning San Francisco Mime Troupe and has performed with companies such as TeatroVision, Shotgun Players, Marin Theatre Company, Alter Theater Ensemble, Cuttingball Theatre, and others.


In 2015, Hugo moved to Los Angeles and has been working non stop since. He is currently represented by Daniel Hoff Agency (Commercial) and Kontakto Entertainment (Manager).


Hugo's filmography includes two short films, and a feature film by director John Sayles, Silver City. Also a co-star appearance on the hit show Scandal.  He has also been in various commercials for Toyota, Wawanesa Insurance, Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl, and Redd's Apple Ale.
